Kai Devlin is an educator, technologist, certified aquarist, and lifelong nerd. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Women and Gender Studies and a Master of Education in Psychology, specializing in School Counseling. His passions include vivariums, writing, photography, softball, out-of-school learning, and Dungeons & Dragons. He lives in western Massachusetts with his spouse, their elderly cat, and a tank full of fish.
In 2017, Kai decided to bring Dungeons & Dragons to his classroom, building an educational adventure setting for at-risk youth. Since then, he has used the 5th edition rules to teach empathy, communication, accountability, self-esteem, basic math, reading, critical thinking, active listening, conflict resolution, and even ways to cope with trauma and loss. Through these lessons and adventures, the realm of Alethon was born.
